Vibrant Red Velvet | L'Oreal Chromative Colour

Recently I have been falling head over heels over bright and bold hair. And I certainly wasn’t willing to sacrifice my own locks, so instead I decided to create a dramatic look on a block and I thought I’d show you guys the results.

I decided to use a colour from L’Oreal’s Chromative range called “Intense Cherry” on a medium brown block. I started by wetting the hair and then towel drying it  till it was damp to prevent diluting the dye. After that I parted the hair down the middle, shook the bottle and began applying. (Yes it is that easy!)

Before and during

I continued to apply and left the formula on for 15 minutes. As I sat and watched the blocks colour change rapidly it became clear they weren’t kidding about it being a intense cherry!. The hair resulted being very shiny and smooth and I was very pleased with the results despite the formula of the dye not being easy to spread

I thought the results resembled Ariana Grande's hair from 2012

Will you guys be dying your any vibrant colours or trying out the chromative range any time soon?

Collection Privee, Cheryl's Nude Review

Personally I have always gravitated towards a good ol' Nude lipgloss because I could never get a nude to match my skin tone well enough so it always looked a bit odd. I recently found L'Oréal's Collection Privée on Instagram and I thought they looked absolutely gorgeous so off i went to my nearest super drug.

The packaging is flawless, the hints of gold remind me of the YSL lipsticks and to me they look more expensive than they actually are. I picked up only one shade, Cheryl's nude just to test the formula etc and I will be getting more. The creamy, light weight and non sticky formula has defiantly secured its place for favourite my lipstick ever!

This shade (Barely Greige) is the perfect your lips but better shade and I found it went beautifully with the revlon colour burst lipgloss in Bellini (review coming soon). Also i would recommend wearing this shade with a smokey eye to complete the sultry look. Overall I think this product is well worth the price and is absolutely perfect.

Sticking to New Years Resolution's

Simplify
The simpler and more realistic your resolutions are to your lifestyle the more likely you are to stick to them for example, my resolution is to get fit and eat healthier. For me this means only needing to tone up my tummy, thighs and my bum and start off by eating one extra piece of fruit a day, sounds simple enough, right?.

Motivation
I have also saved pictures of my ideal body to remind me of what I'm working towards and to keep me going, the picture above is my tummy goal. and I have also downloaded the "Don't break the chain" calendar which helps you stick to your resolution by crossing  off everyday you stick to your goal. The don't break the chain calendar is perfect for my eating healthier goal

Is Your Goal Realistic?
If your resolutions are more realistic to you and your lifestyle they are going to be much easier to achieve them. To help me get fit I have already set out a work out routine which is simple and realistic to work around school and revising.

I hope you all have a great 2014 and that you all stick to your goals and I will be sure to update you all on my progress soon

Pantene Pro-V Review

Recently I have been stuck in a hair rut. Incase you don’t know about 2-3 years ago I got the Frankie Sandford haircut and I am now growing it out and due to this my hair hasn’t been in the greatest condition as I’m no longer having regular cuts.

The other day I found these Pantene Pro-V repair and protect shampoo and conditioner samples and I thought that these could be the hair hero’s I was wishing for, so off I skipped into the shower to try these baby’s out.

The first thing I noticed is that it clearly states on the packet it is aimed toward normal to thick hair and I actually completely disagree. I found that the shampoo knotted my hair and didn’t lather up enough to spread through my short, fine hair. Personally I believe that the shampoo is better suited toward fine to normal hair and the conditioner is suited to all hair types.

Having said that I found with this sample there was barely even enough product in the packets to cover my hair which is very short and fine. The conditioner however smelt amazing and made my hair lovely and smooth too.

Overall I would say it did make a difference to my hair but only slightly .It actually added a little volume and some shine, which my hair greatly needed. Again as I said before it’s defiantly not suited towards long thick hair but overall it is a nice, fairly average shampoo and conditioner set, which I won’t, be rushing out to buy.

Rimmels Match Perfection review

The first rimmel foundation I used was the highly raved about "wake me up foundation". Personally after a while this foundation seemed to appear to be going on my skin darker and darker every time I used it and I had the palest colour. Because I liked the formula and consistency of the wake me up  foundation I decided to give rimmels match perfection a try.

My skin colour is slightly yellow toned and tan yet I found the foundation colour range still not quite light enough.I do like the consistency and I think this foundation is actually better than the wake me up because it is in between dewy and matte which is perfect for my combination skin.

I also found that this foundation stayed on my skin almost all day and I have found I dont need to conceal or powder as much as I usually do.I applied this foundation with my real techniques expert face brush and it just applies so seamlessly and blends into my skin so well apart from the slight colour difference.
